I'm a 1st year HSing mom and have no suggestions for you, but wanted to "meet" you since your post was so open and honest. :) Well, I guess I got to "meet" the real you today, huh? LOL! As I read, I kept thinking... wow, we're a lot a like! I can't make my bed without a reminder either! I can't find the recliner in my bedroom because it's full of clean clothes (about 7 days old) that have been laid out nicely waiting to get hung up. Now, 7 days later, it's just a pile. And if I were a domestic goddess, I'd iron them... but I'm not, so I won't. LOL!... I just keep giggling to myself. It helps. :) Anyway, so glad to meet you! Well, I guess I got to “meet” the real you today, huh? LOL! As I read, I kept thinking… wow, we’re a lot a like! I can’t make my bed without a reminder either! We have a rule the last one out of it makes it. We did away with the top sheet which just got crumpled at the foot of the bed anyway and switched to a duvet cover that I can wash with the other bedding. No fancy makins here just straighten the blanket. I think if I had a bigger home I wouldn't make the bed, but the bedroom is my only sanctuary and I enjoy knowing at least one part of my house is neat and tidy! Your priorities are your family and sometimes that just doesn't leave time for making the bed. At least that's the excuse I give myself ;-) Bruce needs a made bed, but he does it himself. Sometimes when I get to sleep in later than him, I try to make the bed as soon as I get up, but only as a means to tell him I love him with action.
