It seems like a simple idea,but it’s funny how when it doesn’t go with a person’s personal comfort that this is so often forgotten.

Finally. You said it best. I’ve had similar discussions/debates with many on all sides of the political spectrum and for me it’s never been about laws or politics but about basic human life. How can anyone turn their back on another human in need. If I were raising my children in a substandard country and had the opportunity to get them to a better place I’d do it in a heartbeat. Most parents would so why should we demean those who, as you said, had the misfortune not to be born where we were. Keep at it.

just happened upon this from following a link, i couldn’t agree with you more. that is exactly how i feel. i get sooo many hate-driven e-mails about illegal aliens, etc. , from christians and they make me feel sick. not in a self-righteous way. just sick. thanks for being brave and saying what needs to be said.
