My oldest went to school for six years before we began homeschooling and for six years, I labored as her room mother. The first couple of years, it was an exhilarating honor to be chosen. I threw myself into the job and was a steady presence at the school. By third grade, I’d earned a solid rep and couldn’t get out of it if I tried.
Now as a homeschool mom, I see how valuable I really was. So I hope you’ll understand why I am considering placing this ad in our local newspaper.
