We do things as a family, but we don't put emphasis on how special it is to be doing these things. And we should, because it is special and will help lay the foundations for our children to have healthy relationships with their future families. My little ones are almost 5 and 3 (today!) and 10 months. I'm excited for the time when we can all play board games because I l-o-v-e board games! But I try really hard not to 'wish away' where we are in our lives right now. So board games can wait. :) I did read a fabulous idea a few weeks ago that I haven't been able to try yet since we've all had the stomach bug. But I'm looking forward to it: Keeping all of the lights off one evening and doing everything with flashlights! My little ones will LOVE this! I found them some cheap-o flashlights at the dollar store so everyone can have one. We might do that this weekend. This is a great idea - the link up!
