Homegrown Links

It’s been a while since I’ve done a link post, and some of you mentioned in my survey that you’d like to see more. Here ya go:

Get 80% off at Restaurant.com the $10 gift card never came through for me, but I did get 5 $25 gift certificates for $11 yesterday. Worth it!

Letting kids learn from your example. Great post by Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers. If nothing else, pop over for her before/after pics of her NINETY FIVE pound weight loss.

Is anyone going to BlogHer 2011? I had zero plans to go, but now I see it’s in my backyard and I’m thinking about it.

Or are you attending Orange County Christian Writers Fellowship Conference? I am already registered for that and I’d love to meet up with you!

Spending your thousand dollar life at Raising Homemakers. Beautiful post.. the analogy here will stick with you.

Extending grace when you’re the guest. Please read this if you’re ever coming to my house for dinner. From Reluctant Entertainer.

Finding Free Images for Your Blog

Looking for free images to use on your blog? This week I posted a list at Blogging Your Way, along with some tips on saving and uploading photos.

Photos in your blog posts don’t just pretty them up. Images can be used to break up large portions of text, invoke a certain mood, elicit an emotional response, and add interest to your posts.

Great images can take your blog from pretty good to fantastic, but what if you don’t have the time (or in my case, the skill) to take the perfect photo for each post? Use someone else’s! No, I’m not advocating stealing images for your blog. That would be a no-no.

Giveaway Week Coming!

fireworks 23

The good news: I am so excited about new subscribers, Twitter followers, and Facebook Fans that I feel like celebrating.

Fortunately, some awesome companies pitched in to help me celebrate. Next week, I’ll have a giveaway every day!

Be sure to subscribe by email or RSS so you don’t miss our upcoming fun!

The bad news: I’ve had to put off the solution to my photo mess because I just haven’t finished yet. Blame my husband. He wanted to take me to the mall today and what kind of wife would I be if I said no?

So if you’re waiting on pins and needles to see what I’ve done with my pictures (and who wouldn’t be?), and need your organizing fix, check out these gals:
